S & M Applicators are available in various sizes for use with individual retaining ring series and sizes as noted below. Although certain designs differ in construction, basically all function in the same manner. Applicators are used to pick up the rings, hold them in place securely during installation and then release them once they are installed and positioned on a shaft. S & M Applicators will handle retaining ring series XC, XE, XER, XK, XKT, XPL, XEB, and XED. Used with our ring kits or with our dispensers, our applicators will provide years of continuous service for any number of high-speed mass production applications. The applicator blades are constructed of 1074 high carbon steel and have a black oxide finish.
The handles are made from a Hickory or Birch wood and are ergonomically designed to fit inside the palm of an operator’s hand for ease of use.
