S & M Retaining Rings is a leader in the manufacturing of Retaining Rings, Retaining     Ring assembly tools and automated assembly machines. When we started the S & M Retaining Rings Division in January of 2001 our mission was first to service our customers by producing   quality retaining rings without increasing the cost by designing and building high precision tooling.   S & M Retaining Rings is organized differently then other companies, at our company the term “WE”  means all of the people that makes up S & M Retaining Rings.

We have accomplished this by drawing on the past 77-year history of Schneider & Marquard’s expertise in the tool and die industry, and by the 40 years experience I have in the     tool and die and stamping industry. Of my 40 years, 20 of them were in the manufacturing of Retaining Rings. I have seen many errors in the design of production dies that were made by companies without the proper training and experience of basic die making knowledge. When a      die is designed and made poorly the company will live with that tool forever.

Our customer service instrumentality is doing whatever it takes to fulfill our customer’s needs in quoting, shipping or answering questions. Nobody enjoys waiting for these requests. We provide quotes to our customers either immediately on the phone or by fax and email the same   day. Our shipping department is set up to ship 1 piece or 1,000,000 pieces per order a day. We always get a smile from our customers.

We have in stock all the items we manufacture in carbon steel and stainless steel and    can ship the day the order is placed. S&M is now offering retaining rings in larger sizes too, from 5.50 inch and up to 10.00 inches Internal and External rings in all finishes.

Our tool room is always busy building dies for retaining rings based on our distributors     and customers’ demands. We are investing in equipment at a fast pace and will continue to do so until we can meet all our customers needs.  All our retaining rings and dies are made at our plant   in Newton, New Jersey.
